The client Competency Center is responsible for a complex process of taking a client’s base design (concept) and bringing it to life, customising and ensuring that the project is feasible and built to specification. With a hands on approach and/or project management role, the process from feasibility stage through to delivery to the client is taken on by a wide rage of highly skilled mulit-disciplined engineers ensuring the client’s interests are upheld at all times.

Working with the industry experts, this is a unique opportunity to develop and deploy our excellent services within basic design, detailed engineering and procurement support services for marine and offshore facilities and marine operations management.

Your role will be to lead a team of Structural Engineers and Designers in close liaison with the Manager – Structural Department and the Deputy Project Manager. You will manage projects through to conclusion – coordinating all disciplines to ensure all project tasks are executed to time, budget and quality.

Key accountabilities will include:

Direct, monitor, control, review of all technical job progress and cost reportsDevelopment of project plans and schedules whilst maintaining technical integrityEnsure project success, quality adherence and deliverables according to approved project proceduresLead, identify and train the engineers and designers for various Structural software packagesTechnical / Professional ExpertiseB Sc Civil Eng. Masters Degree in Ocean / Offshore Engineering is an advantageChartered Engineer Status is highly desirableMust have strong experience in Structural engineering from the Oil & Gas industryExtensive Offshore Industry experience (FEED, Basic and Detailed Design) in Jack ups – MODU, Windfarm Vessels and lift boatsDesign experience with fixed platforms, jack-up/ semi-sub drilling rigs & modules installed on FPSO, FSO or FDPSO is desirableProficient in inplace, transportation, lift, fatigue, seismic, pushover, leg lowering and pulling, launching and appending analysisAbility to use SACS and ABAQUS. Senior Factory and Cost Controller - Temporary for 6 months - Sharjah

We are looking for an enthusiastic and analytical Factory Cost Controller who will report to our Senior Financial Controller and be based in our factory located in Sharjah. This is a temporary and challenging position that might become a permanent one.

You will be required to manage the Factory controlling and reporting as well as the measurement and monitoring of Gross Margin by product range, activity and country and in charge of the Working Capital measurement.

Key responsibilities of this position are:
1) Performance management and reporting for the factory
Preparing and updating of Factory’s forecast. Product costing and update of standard overheads
Accurate measurement and analysis of the factory’ performance vs. forecast and of the actual performance
Monthly reporting of Factory performance in Actual P&L, Costs by nature, Analysis of Change, cycle count, etc
2) Monthly Measurement and Analysis of the local and upstream Gross Margin by country and by activity
Contributing in the computation and analysis of the monthly Analysis of Change by activity (EBIT level)
3) Stock and Working Capital
Controlling of the stock valuation, monitoring of the accuracy and completeness of the WAC (Weighted average costs) and reconciliation of the General Ledger with the Sub Ledger
Computation and Analysis of the inventory provision and working capital reports
4) In charge of all related Transfer Prices and annual TP campaign Exercise

To be successful in these positions it is essential for the right candidate to have strong autonomy and accuracy, good communication skills, strong reporting skills and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines

The essential criteria for these roles are:
- Accounting graduate
- 3 to 5 years experience in factory cost controlling
- Use of ERP systems (SCALA, SAP, etc.)
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications especially MS Excel.
- Process oriented approach.
- Fluent in English

The following criteria will be highly regarded:
Knowledge on MS Access
Knowledge of reporting systems (Hyperion, Carat)
